Who I am

Juney & Byrd is a small studio I run, making warm, simple money apps for freelancers, side-hustlers, and micro business owners. I am Holly Neitzel, a sole proprietor based in Utah, USA. These terms cover every Juney & Byrd app and tool, including Hutch and any future products.

What you are getting

Your purchase or subscription gives you a personal, non-transferable license to use the app for your own use, or your own business’s use. For subscriptions, your access continues for as long as your subscription is active. Please do not share, resell, or publish your access link or login. That is what you paid for.

Software only, and not advice

My apps are software you use to record and organize your own numbers. You enter the data, and the app does the math and the organizing. The apps never hold, store, or move your money.

Every number an app shows you, including any set-aside estimate, profit figure, or summary, is an estimate for planning purposes, built entirely from the data you entered. It is not tax advice, legal advice, or financial advice, and it is not a substitute for a qualified professional. Please confirm anything that matters with your CPA or tax professional before you rely on it.

Your data, and your responsibility

Honesty is the whole point here. In the cloud apps, your books are encrypted on your device before they ever reach me, so I can never read them. If you lose your recovery key, no one, including me, can recover your data. Exports are always available, so you can take your data and leave anytime.

In the offline app (Hutch Local), everything lives on the one device you set it up on, with no account. You are responsible for backing it up. If that device is lost, cleared, or broken without a backup, the data cannot be recovered by anyone, including me, because I never had it.

Subscriptions and billing

Hutch Plus is a monthly subscription sold through Paddle, my merchant of record. Paddle handles the payment, the receipt, and any applicable sales tax or VAT. I do not store your card details. You can cancel anytime, and your access runs through the period you have already paid for. See my Refunds policy for the full details. Hutch Local is a one-time purchase handled through Etsy under Etsy’s stated policy at the time of purchase.

The app may improve

Because my apps are delivered as hosted pages, you automatically receive fixes and improvements. I may add, change, or retire features over time. Anything that would change how your data is handled will be disclosed clearly before it applies to you, never buried.

No warranty

The apps are provided on an as-is basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. I work hard to make them correct and reliable, but you use them at your own risk.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, my total liability for any claim related to an app is limited to the amount you paid for it. I am not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost data or tax outcomes.

Fair use

Please do not misuse the apps, misrepresent them as your own product, or use them for anything unlawful.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Utah, USA.
